I actually stumbled across this site by lucky coincidence and was wondering if you kept a record of all the weather that you record? It's just that I am a university student at Hull about to do a university dissertation of Wind Energy in East Yorkshire and need data sets. Do you keep records of the wind, and if so do you record wind speed averages? It would be very much appreciated if you could get back to me on this.
Thanks again D Wade | | Admin Delete |

I am a Radio Ham and wireless network technician. Your StormVue data is especially invaluable to me as I have a lot of wireless antennae which life to live on top of buildings, but don't like lightning! ha-ha. Thanks for making your data public. I have just made a donation towards the site and I urge others whom have also found it useful to do the same! :-)
best 73 and thanks again

The series intends to explore how weather occurs and can be created or manipulated, and how weather forecasts are predicted and for what use. We are looking to speak to academics, professionals and amateurs who have an interest in the weather and might be able to contribute to the series. We are looking for someone who can open up the subject for an audience and teach us things we never knew. It could be one person or might be a group of people (who don't necessarily already know each other); they could be coming at the subject from a professional, academic or amateur position. They may have a vast knowledge, or maybe just be incredibly fascinated by the subject. Above all we're looking to speak to people who are really passionate about weather and weather forecasting.
If this sounds like you or someone you know, please email cher.adamson@endemoluk.com with a brief description of your background in weather, contact details and preferred time of contact.
Best regards,
Cher Adamson
